About

I love being barefoot!

Whether in the vegie patch, on the beach, or on a bushland track, the experience is not complete unless I feel it through my soles!

Growing up in the south-western Australia, I was blessed with the richness of the natural environment. Wild places became the sanctuary of my soul, as photography became the subject of my fascination.

When I left home I was lured to the excitement of city life, and had the good fortune to land my dream-job as a photojournalist. It was a career that took me to out-of-way places, encountering people from every walk of life, and I feel privileged to have experienced so much through the lens of a camera. After 25 years it was time to hang up the press pass, but not my love of photography.

I have returned to the place of my first love, again finding inspiration in nature; places that have not yet succumbed to “progress”.

With the environment in mind, I take care to work with a print company that exclusively uses ethically-sourced paper stock, and is accredited “Process Green” ©.

Are you a fellow Barefooter? I reckon that life is enriched by shared creativity and generosity, and I am always interested to connect and collaborate with like-minded people.

I’d love to hear from you.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live, the Whadjuk people of Noongar Boodjar. I recognise their continued connection to the land and waters of this beautiful place, and acknowledge that they never ceded sovereignty. I pay respect to all Whadjuk Elders; past, present and emerging.
